It is the visceral aspect of Jozsef's drawings that is most obvious, but these are not straight anatomical studies. Taken from the artist's memories and imagination, they bring to mind works by Blake and Dali, containing half-hidden or suggested figures and gestures that lend the drawings a very human and emotional quality.

Life in the City by Izaskun Gamen

This project treats of contrasts: the chaotic life in a great city and multiculturalism, but at the same time the loneliness of human beings; social contrast and the indifference to other people's misfortunes. I am interested in observing human behaviour and somehow reflecting it through a beautiful form, creating another contrast between the aesthetic and the idea.
I use organic forms where the line has great importance. The mixed media style is achieved through digitally combining hand drawn and painted elements with photography and sourced pattern.
