It is the visceral aspect of Jozsef's drawings that is most obvious, but these are not straight anatomical studies. Taken from the artist's memories and imagination, they bring to mind works by Blake and Dali, containing half-hidden or suggested figures and gestures that lend the drawings a very human and emotional quality.

My paintings are fundamentally inspired by colour and the desire to make paint express vital, living feelings and emotions. I work intuitively with colour and shape, where my original ideas and compositions are constantly being changed - shifted and modified until the painting has absorbed the feelings I wish to convey.
My sense of developed colour is from fleeting memories of landscapes, my surroundings and the emotions that those colours create within me. My paintings combine aspects of abstract imagery with the recognisable and explore many different themes.
