It is the visceral aspect of Jozsef's drawings that is most obvious, but these are not straight anatomical studies. Taken from the artist's memories and imagination, they bring to mind works by Blake and Dali, containing half-hidden or suggested figures and gestures that lend the drawings a very human and emotional quality.

Allusion is an exhibition of paintings that seeks to provide a poetic and metaphorical exploration of both universal metaphysical ideas and the essentially individual subjective, emotional life. Through the skillful juxtaposition of abstract and half-familiar forms, the paintings reveal and obscure in equal measure, inviting an active participation on the part of the viewer.
